Prayer for Mother's Day?

Mother's Day is just four days away.

In my experience, this can be one of the absolutely hardest days of the year if your journey to motherhood has become more about pain, loss and waiting, than anticipation, excitement and celebration. You can read here what I wrote last year about Mother's Day.

It's for these days, weeks, months and seasons, that I am so thankful for the following promise:

The Lord your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

This passage is loaded with truth, hope and encouragement. God is with me. God takes great delight in me. God can quiet my tender heart with his love. God rejoices over me with singing.

I got an e-mail from Sarah's Laughter offering prayer for anyone who would like it on Mother's Day. I thought it was such a great idea, that I'd like to do the same for any of my readers who are dreading Mother's Day.

Would you like me to pray for you on Mother's Day? I would consider it a privilege to lift you up in prayer throughout the day. I'll be praying for God's grace to sustain you, His love to surround you, His presence to comfort you and His hope to encourage you.

Please leave your name in the comment section. If you would like to include any specific information beyond your name, feel free. And if you'd like to remain anonymous, that's just fine. God knows who I'm praying for and what your needs are.

While the world celebrates mother's on Sunday, know that God is delighting in you, singing over you and continuing to unfold His perfect plan for YOUR life....one beautiful day at a time.

Thanks for the prayers. I am not looking forward to Sunday at all!! We have been ttc for 3 years now. 3 rounds of IVF with 1 miscarriage. No more IVF, just letting God lead us to a child whatever way it may be. And also I love your blog. I check it everyday. You are a wonderful writer. Candice

Please pray for me as well.

Hubby and I are going out of town now that his school semester is over to give us a chance to reconnect and celebrate our family of two. Even though I am looking forward to this weekend because of this, part of me is still dreading it knowing what the day represents.

God Bless you for being so kind and praying for us!

Yes, I would LOVE for you to pray for me. My name is Maria, I'm forty three, and I was diagnosed with endometriosis stage four two years ago. Hubby and I will be celebrating our third wedding anniversary on June 16th. We have been trying to conceive for almost three years now and I haven't been able to get pregnant once.

I read frequently the blogs of many others of those also wishing to be Mothers. I was thrilled to hear that one lovely lady is now pregnant with her miracle baby and two or three ladies were blessed with babies through adoption.

I have been hoping and praying to be blessed with a child for many years now. I often feel very sad and discouraged wondering "When will it be my turn?" "Is God hearing my prayers?" "When will they be answered?" "If I can't conceive, then can God give me and my hubby a miracle too through adoption?" Even if hubby and I live in a small condo and the only way we can afford adoption right now is by foster care and then adopting??

I keep hoping and praying for a miracle, but what I really need is a big increase in faith and trust in God that He has a child out there for me and my hubby too! My heart and arms ache for a child! I want to be a Mommy so much!!

By the way, I am a daycare teacher and I have been teaching daycare for twenty two years. I love children and always wanted to have children.

Thank you again for praying for me! I really appreciate it!

Stacy, Happy Mother's Day! You and your family will be in my prayers!

Love,
Maria Therese In Mass

I happened upon your blog in early March after 6 long years of infertility. We brought home our baby girl April 8th and this will be my first long anticipated Mother's Day. I would love to send a prayer to all those waiting and celebrating that God gives comfort and hope this Mother's day.
