During times of waiting, it's easy to think that the blessing is wrapped up in whatever it is that we are waiting for.
We think the blessing will come with a long-awaited relationship. The blessing will come with a good diagnosis or material provision. The blessing will come with a high grade or review or graduation. The blessing will come with a title or paycheck or pregnancy test or acceptance to a school or club or group. The blessing will come with a ring or a restored relationship or a dream coming to fruition.
But Scripture has something different to say about who is blessed. Even during our waiting, we can (and are!) blessed when we choose to live and walk according to God's Word...
Blessed is the man who trusts in you
Blessed are those who dwell in your house
Blessed are those whose strength is in you
Blessed are all they that put their trust in him
Blessed are they that keep His testimonies and that seek Him with the whole heart
Blessed are they that keep my ways
Blessed are all they that wait for him
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth
Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me
Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed
Be blessed today friends, be blessed.
